Michelle Obama on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno
Michelle Obama made a campaign stop on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” on Monday night on 10/27/08 to remind people about her husband’s 30 minute campaign spot on Wednesday night.
The future first lady also talked about her kids and online shopping. In this video, Mrs. Obama talks about her kids worrying about Obama interrupting their programming with these 30 minute campaign ads. It’s cute. You have to watch it.
Leno also poked fun with Michelle asking her how much her outfit cost following the Palin clothing controversy.
“Actually, this is a J. Crew ensemble,” Obama said. “You can get some good stuff online,” she added.
Looking very much like a first lady, Michelle even refused to criticize Palin’s expensive wardrobe.
“A V.P. pick, it’s like being shot out of a cannon. All of a sudden you’re at the center of attention, and you want to look good,” said Michelle Obama, adding she has never met Palin. “You’re living in your home, minding your business, and all of a sudden you’re on the national stage and everyone’s watching.”
